Protocol Test Engineer Lead

We're looking for an experienced software test engineer to lead testing strategy and development of automation and tooling for the Flow blockchain, Dapper Lab's high-performance, app-focused smart contract platform. Working closely with the engineering team this role will have significant impact in delivering solutions to ensure the correctness, reliability and performance of the Flow Blockchain protocol.

As the ideal candidate, you have demonstrated expertise designing and developing test plans and test cases as well delivering and operating the testing frameworks which run those. You have extensive experience testing distributed systems, performance and scalability testing, and optionally blockchain and/or smart contract testing. You understand the value of developer-friendly infrastructure, of your role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the SDLC, and are excited about breaking new ground in a quickly-evolving space. The ideal candidate will think well beyond traditional dogma around test automation and leverage their creative mindset and technical expertise to deliver scalable solutions for decentralized testing.

What we’ll accomplish together:

• Build out an improved Testing framework for the Flow Blockchain to ensure feature stability and performance
• Improve ease of test generation for the team
• Ensure correctness of the Flow protocol
• Increase code coverage for the Flow Blockchain code base

A little about you:

• We believe in processes and the power of planning, but you will often have to roll with the punches and prioritize the most impactful tasks on the fly.
• Previous experience with testing distributed systems, including performance and load testing
• Previous experience building out a testing framework a plus
• General understanding of blockchain protocols a plus
• You are data driven and can apply lateral thinking to solving novel and ambiguous problems that have no precedents to follow
